Former Ginebra Import Henry James Does Coke

Nah, not the Coca Cola Tigers but the pearly white one, cocaine.
Henry James who played for 6 NBA teams is now accused in Indiana of selling at least 5 grams crack cocaine for $400 on two separate occasions. A $400 dollar looks like a street trade to me. This is no Scarface’s Tony Montana dealing with some Bolivian drug lord. It doesn’t matter though, if busted dealing a gram or attaché case full of crack, trouble brews.
Henry James, now 41 is currently on probation for marijuana possession when busted. Well, if he played basketball breaking some records (he hit seven 3-pointers in a quarter in 1997 while playing for Atlanta), now retired, he is now busy breaking laws.
Compounding the charge is, he had with him his children when he dealt crack. He was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana and two counts of dealing cocaine.
In 1996 Commissioner’s Cup, Ginebra San Miguel hired Henry “Jessie” James as their import. First few games, he really sucked. I remember watching Ginebra live at Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay and we were shouting “JAMES GO HOME! JAMES GO HOME!” the whole 4th quarter in a game that he and the Ginebra stunk. We made sure he really heard our disgust.
But he then came along in the Commissioner’s Cup, played well but the man can’t guard a toddler. He was sloooooooooooow. Ginebra managed to engage then rival Formula Shell in a knockout game. James and Kings seems to be headed in finals until Shell’s import, Kenny Redfield drilled in a killer three. (Special thanks to Atty. Soriquez in providing some facts cause I can’t remember all the freakin history/details.)
He should have done some NBA salary saving because the bail was set at $212,500.
