What the hooph is going on?

We are bored (and tired of the site’s look). That’s it.

After 6 years, options are hit the shut down button, leave the site alone and have it fade away, little by little – OR – re-theme, reload the site, simplify things and (blog) life goes on.

We’re going with the latter.

• We are going clean, white and simple. That’s the in thing now (or so I think). All the basic stuff we/you need are here. Just a little more tweaks here & there and we’re done.
• Widgetized too, so I’ll have more time posting meaningful stuff rather than working the badass backend.
• I mentioned that we’re bored, so we’re adding POPSICLE. Pop culture category, pop cycle, pop circle, calling it “Popsicle” for now. Also, this’ inspired by the Grantland.com (heck, new theme of the site is inspired by Grantland!). We too have some stuff not sports related that we’d love to share, this is where we’ll dump ‘em.
• Others: We are now powered by the latest WP engine. Now using disqus comment plugin I saw here  & here. Tweet, like share buttons are fresh & new. We put the “Contributors” page, front & up. Replaced the half decade old  “About Us.”
• Most important, let’s welcome our new contributors, rookies Eric Michael Santos, Michael Anthony Jandayan & Pio Garcia.
