Two words and a smiley and an hour later, he was trending on twitter.
Hello PBA :)

And 2 hours later, Chris Tiu posted his application letter thus it’s official. Chris Tiu joined the PBA 2012 draft.
Dropped my application at d PBA office this morning. Here’s the proof. Sorry, no address & mobile # twitter.com/chris_tiu/stat…

How high or low he’ll be picked? Despite Chris Tiu age age (27), I still believe he’ll be a first rounder. Just the marketing aspect of having Chris Tiu, a team can save 10-15 million a year on endorsement fees.
And don’t forget, that he can really play and a very smart player. If you’re thinking Chris Tiu is an old rookie coming in, remember, PBA legend Robert Jaworski started his PBA career age 29.
By the way, another, “old” Chris turned pro in 1995, Chris Jackson. He was 28 and went on to play for years and a perennial defensive player awardee. Chris Tiu still has good 5-7 years of basketball ahead of him.
For now, Chris Tiu, the businessman is on the back burner. He later said, “Can’t wait to be playing again!!”.
(With Fajardo, Abueva, Hodge, Ellis, Tiu, etc., the 2012 draft is a deep pool and I am tempted to do a draft diary.)
